some links to space:time understandings (and voids)

in japan, the concepts of space and time have been simultaneously expressed by the word MA. MA is characterized as the natural distance between two or more things existing in continuity or as the natural pause or interval between two or more phenomena occurring simultaneously. thus, both time and space have are) been measured in terms of intervals.

in the following are two links to go more in depth with the concept of MA. - a short film (sublimely "boring":-) here and the catalogue from the original exhibition in NY (1989 at the cooper-hewitt), curated by arata isozaki, here. enjoy. you will (much) later during your studies remember the MA concept.
