in case you get bored: look at art

Now: what might be the difference between blurr and clear, between abstract and concrete?
Gerhard Richter is always a good way to start. here or here. enjoy (might be useful for an up comming quiz question post reviews ;-)

a reppetttitive soundtrack ;-)

Music for 18 musicians by Steve Reich link to soundtrack excerpt here

on A and B and maybe C

Keep your work(s) regarding both A  (the almeninger) and B (the individual locations) in free flow: devellop material that investigates the state(s) and condition(s) of what is examined with compassionate interest on all levels.
It may very well be, that one level will inform the other (and vice-versa), once seen with joy, alltogether at the reviews.

The reviews a fine opportunity to present your material (to view anew with novel - and other eyes) so as to act as stepping stones for the rest of the semester. Thus: keep it open and flowing, as most of the work is still fresh and somehow vulnerable. (more is not a bore). Present it friendly, leaving conclusions open.

pre mid-term reviews note #1

Reviews will be in the white box, 27.11.12 al day. Due to the many activities on Wednesday we will have to review all works with all participants on Tuesday.

Pin-up is possible and advised from Monday evening from 17:00 ; Reviews start at 9:00 sharp.

To achieve an optimal flow there will be 3 pin-ups of 9 participant’s works each, with breaks in between, including lunchbreak. (9:00 > 17:40)

Reviews will be grouped in batches of 3 presentations, followed by Q/A and comments.

Each participant is allocated 5-6 minutes for presentation, 15 -20 minutes for individual and common comments for all 3.
Each presentation batch will thus last 1,5 hours, followed by take down and new pin up of material.

Material to present: General material regarding Nordness  + evt. results from workshops with Eva and Andrea to be pinned up on each wall side by entrance door. Large 1:500 CAD map to be hung above door. Rest of walls: 3 students on each wall side; Collective models on tables in middle of white box, plus one table for sketches, booklets.

Each participant to pinup material incl. previous material excerpts, and A and B material. Personal models on floor under pin-up, green folders on wall.

A more precise schedule with time and mane of participants will be posted on Monday. Should somebody not be able to attend the whole day, please inform Cristian.

We look forward to an intense day, with joyful participation(s) sharing the material with each other,(Magnus is present) and invited guest reviewers (Kalle Grude, + guests). The day will be a fine possibility for feed-back and to enjoy your works.
